Smeva develops high-end cooling solutions for supermarkets, specialty shops and the pharmaceutical sector. Their products are modular by design and adaptable to individual client needs. The new website had to reflect that same flexibility: scalable, internationally deployable and easy to manage. It also needed to connect with multiple audiences across different countries, support conversion and be technically futureproof for optimisation and continued development.
Process
We developed a clear site structure tailored to Smeva’s international audience segments. Based on the brand identity and user personas, we mapped out desired visitor flows, conversion points and content blocks. During the pitch, we convinced them with a strategy that smartly combined content, technology and manageability. From there, we began with design, development and the content logic setup, with modularity, speed and control as our foundation.
Solution
Smeva’s new website is built in Statamic, a lightweight, database-free CMS with fast load times and a fully modular setup.
Fully modular CMS: Content managers can toggle blocks on or off per page, such as sliders, videos or forms, without needing developers.
International content routing: Visitors are automatically served content in the right language (NL, BE, DE, UK, FR) via an IP API. A language switch allows manual changes and remembers preferences for future visits.
Smart contact matching: Depending on country and product group, the right contacts are shown automatically when users request information.
Google Tag Manager integration: All key interactions are tracked via event tracking, enabling Smeva to optimise content and steer for conversion.
SEO proof and fast: With static page generation, image optimisation and semantic structure, the site performs well in search engines.
